After a stint in the private sector, Nicolas Forget, DCC's new Vice-President, Operations–Procurement, makes no secret of his pleasure to be back at DCC. "After spending the first 21 years of my career at DCC, I decided to take on new challenges. While managing a national project portfolio for a major engineering firm was exciting, I have to admit that I didn't hesitate long when the opportunity to return to familiar territory presented itself! One thing's for sure: that experience is very useful in my new role," says Nicolas.

Among the reasons for his return, Nicolas notes the great dedication and expertise of his DCC colleagues, as well as the opportunity to work for an organization recognized as a leader by its peers. Indeed, he believes that DCC's business model not only enables it to operate more agilely but also to be innovative in its service delivery.

DCC is constantly at the forefront of new initiatives, particularly in implementing new procurement and project delivery methods. "DCC was the only federal organization to exceed the minimum 5% Indigenous procurement target and was even ahead of schedule. This is one of many great examples of our commitment to doing things efficiently and effectively," says Nicolas.

Our constant search for innovative solutions enables us to maintain our reputation as the business partner of choice among our colleagues in the construction industry.

"Innovation requires you to step out of your comfort zone, and I know I'll have the support I need to successfully rise to any challenges in the years to come," concludes Nicolas.
