This special time of the year always gives me a welcome chance to reflect on everything that we have accomplished. Looking back, DCC has much to celebrate. No matter the location, circumstance and pressure, we consistently delivered exceptional value to our Client-Partners and to Canada in 2024.
DCC and our Client-Partners, DND and others, worked closely at countless points on many infrastructure projects. Our work on environmental initiatives stands out. Together, we remediated contaminated sites, supported infrastructure for electric vehicles, established energy performance contracts and used innovative materials like cross-laminated timber in construction.
DCC also collaborated with DND as the department started to implement the new Defence Climate and Sustainability Strategy. In the year—and indeed years—to come, we will stand shoulder to shoulder with DND to uncover innovative practices that enable it to shrink its environmental footprint, become more sustainable and resilient, and achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
These and other successes fill me with great optimism for 2025. We will continue to work closely with our Client-Partners to explore possibilities and find solutions to their strategic and operational challenges—because together we are stronger.
