As we come to the end of another eventful year, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the many people—both inside and outside DCC—who have contributed to our success in 2022. Together, we’ve not only adjusted to a new reality; we’ve thrived.

I’m grateful to our Client‑Partners and our industry stakeholders for their continued trust in DCC and their enthusiasm for working together to support the Government of Canada’s priorities. That trust is based on a solid foundation, as DCC’s employees have again demonstrated the depth of their professionalism and dedication—for which I thank them, too.

Despite the hurdles posed by the COVID‑19 pandemic, DCC has had a successful year. We have achieved this success by finding innovative ways of meeting the objectives set out by our Client-Partners.

We’ve continued to be strong community partners—giving back to the communities where we live, work and play through the DCC Workplace Charitable Campaign and other initiatives. We’ve supported Indigenous businesses, and sustained our commitment to diversity and inclusion. In the midst of ever‑fluid working conditions, we’ve met and often exceeded our service standards. And we’ve kept our focus on the issues that matter to our Client-Partners, the government and Canadians—our work to support green defence initiatives is just one example.

I’m very proud of everything that DCC, our Client‑Partners and industry have accomplished together in 2022. I’m looking forward to our continued collaboration as we face new challenges and opportunities.

On behalf of everyone at Defence Construction Canada, I wish you and your loved ones peace, joy, light and laughter during this holiday season.
