Marie‑Josee Lacombe brings more than 25 years of experience in financial management to DCC. Given that, many would think her expertise is working with numbers. What she’s really become known for though, is her ability and interest in understanding human and operational requirements and ensuring an organization’s resources are properly aligned to meet them.
“Throughout my career, I have worked for Crown corporations that placed true value on their people. This made these organizations very enriching and innovative places to work,” said Marie‑Josée, who joined DCC in November 2022 as the new Vice-President, Finance and Human Resources, and Chief Financial Officer.
Marie‑Josée was most recently Vice-President, Finance and Infrastructure, at the Canadian Museum of History. Before that she held an executive position at the National Gallery of Canada.
“I was attracted by the opportunity at DCC to contribute to a corporation that values collaboration, skills and dedication—not only to the Client-Partners but also the community,” she said. “I also like new challenges, and working in a different operational environment was appealing.”
Marie‑Josée says she was particularly drawn to the blend of finance and human resources the position offers.
“I want to contribute to the culture of the organization. It is essential for me to support initiatives that allow an enriching and diversified work environment that promotes employee skills and well-being.” Marie‑Josée notes her specific intention to contribute to diversity and inclusion in the DCC workplace, along with modernizing and optimizing programs and systems on the financial and human resources management side.
“I’ve had a warm welcome to DCC,” she said. “I have also been impressed by the many innovative, dedicated, and passionate employees I have met.”
