DCC kicked off its 70th anniversary celebrations in mid-May, unveiling a new logo and celebrating the recipients of the 2021 National Awards.

Moreen Miller, Chair of DCC’s Board of Directors, congratulated DCC on seven decades of service. “No matter the challenge, you demonstrate consistent and essential support to our Client-Partners and the defence of Canada. And your contributions are felt by the people served in our local communities.” Industry and government partners also sent their congratulations on DCC reaching this important milestone.

DCC’s annual National Awards recognize the dedication and commitment of DCC staff across the country in support of the Client-Partners and Government of Canada. Congratulations to the 2021 recipients:

  • Danny Gruner, Regional Service Line Leader, Real Property Management Services, Western Regional Office (Service Development Award) for helping the service line flourish in the Western Region
  • Genny Doherty, Coordinator, Health and Safety, Gagetown (Robert Graham Memorial Award), who was instrumental to the site delivering its largest program in more than a decade during a pandemic

Erica Lyle, Advisor, Communications, Head Office; Laura Seaward, Administrative Assistant, Goose Bay; and Nicolas Forget, Quebec Regional Director, received President’s Certificate of Recognition for their outstanding contributions to DCC. The entire DCC workforce was similarly recognized by the Client-Partner for their creative spirit and “think outside the box” approach for getting the job done and achieving objectives since the start of the pandemic.
