Facilities management: keeping the bases covered
DND needs to keep its facilities operating smoothly and efficiently.
With offices serving all bases
and wings,
DCC's facilities management services are uniquely positioned
to leverage our established network of contacts to work with
industry, consulting services and PWGSC, even in remote locations.
For example, when CFB London and CFB Toronto closed, a large
number of facilities, formerly maintained by the bases, were
left without support service. We assumed the role of contract
manager of the day-to-day maintenance of these buildings.
Moreover, we cover all the bases, so to speak, from mechanical,
electrical and structural services to environmental and building
maintenance services. This expertise, as well as an exhaustive
knowledge of the private sector, of the federal contracting
policies and of the needs of DND buildings, make us uniquely
capable of maintaining DND properties.
